Considered one of the oldest forms of art that have filled so many galleries, good portraits always show much more than a face, a look or a smile. I admit I feel an immense envy of good portraitists, because they are able to extract what is beyond the face and, as if it were a cocktail, discover and show an unique combination of beauty, wonder, sadness, innocence, naturalness, restlessness ... that makes up the true soul of a person. I think they are surely born with great vocation to achieve these results. Vocation and a little magic.
